I see Google is finally getting around to disabling uBlock Origin on my desktop install of Chrome. So this is how I brought it back.
At the very least, do this to export your uBlock Origin filters so you can use them on other blockers.
First, you’re going to need to enable this (and then tell it to relaunch Chrome).
chrome://flags/#temporary-unexpire-flags-m137 [Enabled]
Then you’ll want to go through all of these. . .
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-warning [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-disabled [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-unsupported [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#allow-legacy-mv2-extensions [Enabled]
And then relaunch Chrome again from the little button that appears.
You can read the notes on these flags, Google clearly tells us that these will be removed in future updates. So do this now before it’s too late.
I was bummed that I hadn’t exported my custom filters (so that I can at least use them with extensions like tampermonkey or one of its many similar options).
So now I have a backup copy and I have a working (legacy) version of uBlock Origin and Pushbullet (again).
