Privacy Policy for Knox Checker
Last Updated: July 29, 2026
Eightybee (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Knox Checker mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the App.
1. Information Collection and Use
Local Device Information
The App reads certain technical information from your device to perform its core functions. This includes:
- Knox Warranty Status: Reads local system properties (e-fuse registers) to verify if the warranty bit has been tripped.
- Device Specs & Firmware: Displays information about your device’s Android version, bootloader, kernel version, baseband, PDA, CSC, build number, and build date.
Important: All device information is accessed and processed strictly locally on your device. We do not transmit, collect, upload, or share this data with our servers or any third parties.
Personal Information
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical address, phone number, contacts, location, or photos.
2. Third-Party Services (Ad Distribution)
To keep the App free of charge, we display ads using third-party advertisement services. These services may collect certain device identifiers to serve personalized ads, run analytics, and prevent fraud.
The App integrates the following third-party service:
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK): Google may collect and use data including your device’s Google Advertising ID, IP address, and app usage diagnostics.
For more details on how Google handles your data, please review the Google Privacy & Terms and Google’s partner site policy.
3. Data Security and Retention
Because the App does not collect or transmit personal user data to any database or server, we do not store, retain, or manage any of your personal information. Any local diagnostic cache is deleted automatically when you close the App.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not collect any personal information and does not target children under the age of 13. If you have any concerns regarding children’s interaction with the App, please contact us.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our official website. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
