80bee (“we,” “our,” or “us”) develops and operates the 80bee Drop mobile application (the “App”). We are firmly committed to user privacy, data isolation, and security. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use 80bee Drop on Android devices.

1. Summary — Privacy by Design

  • 100% Local Processing: All file transfers, share operations, and folder routings occur entirely offline on your local device.
  • No Remote Servers: We do not operate remote servers, databases, or cloud sync backends for your shared content.
  • Zero Tracking or Analytics: The App contains no third-party analytics trackers, tracking beacons, or advertising SDKs.
  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the App.

2. Information Collection and Handling

2.1. Shared Content and Storage Access

When you use 80bee Drop as a Share Target, the App receives files, images, videos, documents, text snippets, or web URLs that you explicitly choose to send via the Android system Share menu. The App streams this content directly into your designated local storage folder (such as the Downloads or Documents directory in Android Private Space or your main device profile). At no point is your content analyzed, uploaded, or transmitted externally.

2.2. Local Drop History & Preferences

To help you keep track of your recent transfers, the App maintains a local history log (filename, MIME type, file size, timestamp, destination folder) inside an encrypted local database (Room) on your device. This data remains strictly on your device. You can delete individual drop records or clear the entire history log at any time from within the App.

2.3. In-App Purchases (Supporter Contributions)

The App offers optional voluntary in-app tips (“Buy Me a Coffee” / Supporter contributions) processed securely through the Google Play Billing API. All payment transactions and payment method details are handled exclusively by Google Play Services. 80bee Drop does not collect, process, or store financial details or personal billing addresses.

3. Device Permissions

  • Storage / Media Permissions: Used solely to read incoming shared streams and write files into your selected device or Private Space storage folders.
  • Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Used solely to facilitate optional voluntary developer tips via Google Play Billing.
  • Internet Permission: The App does not declare or use general Internet access permissions for user data collection or telemetry.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

80bee Drop is completely ad-free. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.

5. Android 15 Private Space Isolation

80bee Drop is designed to operate seamlessly within Android 15 Private Space (UserManager.isPrivateProfile()). Files shared into Private Space benefit from Android’s hardware-backed OS-level profile isolation and encryption. 80bee Drop respects these boundaries and operates strictly within the profile in which it is executed.

6. Children’s Privacy

80bee Drop does not collect any personal information from any users, including children under the age of 13.
